Can You Have Politics Without “Labels”?

Former Kentucky State Treasurer Wants Missourians to Pressure Sen. McCaskill on “No Budget, No Pay”

Partisan, divisive politics are nothing new. Now, an effort is underway to shed labels like “conservative” and “liberal” and pressure Congress into making some compromises and changes.

Former Kentucky State Treasurer Jonathan Miller (D) is a co-founder of “No Labels”, which is promoting a bill to deny Congress their paychecks when they don’t get an official national budget in place by the deadline.

The United States government has been without an actual budget for over three years now.

“No Budget, No Pay” is just part of a plan in the No Labels series of legislative proposals.

Miller and No Labels is reaching out to Missourians right now because Senator Claire McCaskill is on a committee that will hear the “No Budget, No Pay” idea in March.
