Juan Alonzo and Pete Van Jr.
“Missouri Viewpoints” Expands; Raymore Mayor Juan Alonzo and State Rep. Candidate Pete Van, Jr. Interviewed
For the first time, “Missouri Viewpoints” has released a full 30 minute television program.
The new program features interviews with two Democratic candidates for State Representative. Raymore Mayor Juan Alonzo is running for the open 123rd District seat, hoping to replace Republican Brian Baker who is not running for reelection.
Mayor Alonzo discusses economic development, the use (or abuse, depending on your viewpoint) of Eminent Domain by local and state governments and funding public schools.
You can learn more about Mayor Alonzo and his campaign at www.juanalonzo.com.
The second interview of the show is with Pete Van, Jr., who is running for the 37th District seat. Van is running against first-term incumbent Mike Talboy, also a Democrat. There is no Republican opponent for the Democratic primary winner in that race.
Van addresses his views on health care and the need to bring new investment into Kansas City. He also talks about his decision to challenge an incumbent in his own party.
Pete Van’s campaign website is www.electpetevanjr.com.
