William Spaits, Constitution Party Candidate for Missouri Attorney General
Interview: William Spaits, Constitution Party Candidate for Missouri Attorney General
In our final interview from the Constitution Party’s national convention in Kansas City, William Spaits discusses his campaign for Missouri Attorney General.
Spaits explains that he is not an attorney and, other than some courses taken while he was a police officer, he has had no legal training but feels he should be voters’ choice for Attorney General.
The candidate says he would rely on his experience in the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Personnel Office, his time spent working as a union business agent and his experience as a police officer if elected. Spaits points out that, while a police officer, he spent some time protecting judges in courtrooms and that experience provided him the opportunity to watch actual lawyers as they practiced their profession.
Spaits said he would, if elected, review each employee of the Attorney General’s office to assess each person’s competence to serve the people of Missouri.
