Elections and Foreclosures; Wes Upchurch and Brent Schondelmeyer on “Missouri Viewpoints”
(Grandview, MO) - Fair elections and the housing crisis are the among the topics of the new “Missouri Viewpoints”, featuring Libertarian Candidate for Missouri Secretary of State, Wes Upchurch and Brent Schondelmeyer from kcforeclosurehelp.org.
The newest addition to the program – commentary – makes its debut with Allie Zaroor’s “The Z Report”.
The program can be seen at www.missouriviewpoints.com.
Upchurch says he wants to be the state’s chief elections officer because he feels strongly about “…fair, fraud-free elections” and thinks that having a Secretary of State from outside the two major parties is a logical step in ensuring fairness.
Claiming that current Secretary of State Robin Carnahan has “…politicized the office…” by unfairly writing petition initiative ballot language, Upchurch pledges to utilize a multi-partisan approach to this aspect of the duties of the office.

The second interview this week takes a look at the ongoing problems Missouri is facing as a result of the mortgage and credit crisis.
Brent Schondelmeyer explains the free resources available for those facing foreclosure (or who are approaching that phase of the process) on www.kcforeclosurehelp.org.
While acknowledging that not all homes can be saved from foreclosure, Schondelmeyer points out that being proactive improves your chances of keeping your home, saying “nothing is worse than doing nothing.”
He also lists some tips on avoiding scams perpetrated by those who prey on people who have fallen on hard times.
